Doug Snitgen
Doug SnitgenTour Director
Doug is the Executive Vice President of the Michigan Electric Cooperative Association (MECA) and a seasoned traveler who’s visited 30 states and 25 countries. He’s managed student trips to Washington, D.C. and Europe. This will be his 7th year as Youth Tour director for Michigan.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOUTH TOUR: “Students expect to see cool things on Youth Tour, but they’re always amazed by the new friendships they form.”

FAVORITE WASHINGTON, D.C. EXPERIENCE: “Visiting the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial at night — it’s one of the most peaceful, contemplative places in the city.”

Grace Snitgen
Grace SnitgenTour Manager
Grace is a Washington, D.C. area native and the wife of Tour Director, Doug Snitgen. She has a degree in Youth Development, and has extensive experience teaching and working with youth programs. This will be her 6th year as a Youth Tour manager.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOUTH TOUR: “I like experiencing Washington, D.C. ’for the first time’ with students who’ve never been there before.”

FAVORITE WASHINGTON, D.C. EXPERIENCE: “Sitting on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, watching the people who have traveled from all over the world to experience our nation’s capital.”

Laurie Millen
Laurie MillenTour Manager
Laurie is an Administrative Assistant at Wolverine Power Cooperative, and is no stranger to working with youth. She’s been a 4-H leader in Osceola County for 18 years, and a church youth group director for 3 years. This will be her 4th year as a Youth Tour manager.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOUTH TOUR: “I enjoy getting to know the students — traveling together comes with a lot of laughter, stories and fun memories to share.”

FAVORITE WASHINGTON, D.C. EXPERIENCE: “I’m inspired by Clara Barton and her incredible mission whenever I visit the Missing Soldiers Office Museum.”

Linda Mason
Linda MasonWashington, D.C. Tour Guide
Linda is a lifetime resident of Washington, D.C. and has been a professional tour guide for over 30 years. Her engaging stories of Washington’s people, places and events have brought the capital city to life for thousands of visitors. This will be her 9th year working with Youth Tour.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOUTH TOUR: “The students! I work with students from all over the country, but the Michigan co-op students are among the most friendly, engaged and enthusiastic.”

FAVORITE WASHINGTON, D.C. EXPERIENCE: “No matter how much I know about the city and its history, there’s always more to learn and explore.”

Shannon Priebe
Shannon PriebeCooperative Chaperone
Shannon works in the Operations Department at Alger Delta Cooperative Association in Gladstone, MI and has close to 20 years of experience working with area youth, including volunteer work with Girl Scouts, wrestling, and soccer. This is her first year as a Youth Tour chaperone!

FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOUTH TOUR: “This is my first year with the Youth Tour. I’m very excited to meet the kids and make certain that they have a great experience to tell everyone about back at home.”

FAVORITE WASHINGTON D.C. EXPERIENCE: “I’ve never been to Washington D.C., so I’m looking forward to putting a reality to the stories my son and daughter have shared with me. I can’t wait to experience our nation’s capital!”
